Tax bills for the Town of Mendon go out around the end of July every year with payments always due on the second Monday of September the first year and the second Monday of March the second year. You will only get one copy of your bill sent to you automatically, if you need another copy please give us call or email us and we are happy to send additional copies.
2022/2023 tax bills were sent July 2022, payments are due September 12, 2022 and March 13, 2023.
According to state statutes (32 V.S.A., 1674), any payments not received in the office or postmarked (US Postal Service postmarks only) by the first due date are subject to 1% interest per month, in addition, any payments not received by the second due date are considered delinquent and will be automatically subject to an 8% penalty and 1% interest per month or any part thereof.
