The Town of Mendon Selectboard has created a plan for safety improvements to the Town Office. These improvements would allow the office to be reopened without the requirement of an appointment. The current design of the entrance of the Town Office was considered as well as the secure access to the Castleton Police Department to prepare the proposed plan. The improvement would result in full customer service through a transaction window within the building. The current estimates for construction would not exceed $30K. Funds are available from ARPA (federal funds) and the Town Office Maintenance Fund (town funds).
