The 2022/2023 tax bills went out in July 2022 with the payments due September 12, 2022 and March 13, 2023.
According to state statutes (32 V.S.A., 1674), any payments not received in the office or postmarked (US Postal Service postmarks only) by the first due date are subject to 1% interest per month, in addition any payments not received by the second due date will be automatically subject to an 8% penalty and 1% interest per month or any part thereof.
