PROPERTY TAX PAYMENT – SECOND INSTALLMENT
DUE MONDAY MARCH 13, 2023
ACCORDING TO STATE STATUTE (32 V.S.A. §1674), ANY PAYMENT NOT RECEIVED IN THE OFFICE OR POSTMARKED (USPS POSTMARKS ONLY) BY MONDAY MARCH 13, 2023 WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY SUBJECT TO AN 8% PENALTY AND 1% INTEREST PER MONTH OR ANY PART THEROF.

Here is a list of town official positions we will be voting on in March 2023 (These are to be elected by Australian ballot on March 7):
Town Moderator:
1 year term- 2024
Selectboard:
3 year term- 2026
2 year position to finish out a 3 year term – 2025
Candidates for these positions are encouraged to pick up blank petitions and consent forms at the Mendon Town Office or they are available to download below. Nominating petitions require at least 10 signatures of Mendon voters, and are due to the town clerk no later than 4 pm on Monday January 30. Petitions must be accompanied by a completed consent form, allowing the clerk to print your name on the ballot.
The Barstow Unified Union School District has the following opening for the Office of School Board of Director* for the coming election in March 2023:

Petitions are available at the link provided above, at your Town Clerk’s Office, and at the Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union Central Office at 49 Court Drive in Brandon. Requests for petitions can also be made by calling the RNESU Central Office at (802) 247-5757.
Completed petitions, along with a signed Consent of Candidate Form, are due to your Town Clerk by Monday, January 30, 2023. Petitions for town-specific seats require signatures of the lesser of 1% of registered voters or 30 signatures. Petitions for at-large seats require the signature of 60 registered voters.
