We are excited to announce that the final Mendon on the Move Report is now available here: TheMendonCVReport Hard copies are at the Town Offices as well.
The report includes the detailed notes and takeaways from each step of the process, as well as resource team member recommendations, their contact information, and the work plan that each task force group built at their first meeting. The report is also a wonderful compilation of assets and ideas from a large number of residents.
History: Mendon on the Move was a 2-month process that brought community members together in early 2021 to actively participate in examining issues, decide top priorities and develop action plans for the future of the town. The Vermont Council on Rural Development provided the overall structure and neutral facilitation each step of the way.
Community members came together in virtual forum discussions on March 24, 2021 to share assets, challenges, and ideas for the future and were joined by a listening team of federal, state, business, nonprofit, and philanthropic leaders. On April 21st, the community reviewed action ideas, discussed what’s most important, chose 3 community priorities, and formed task force groups who will work to: Reimagine and Improve the Route 4 Corridor, and Boost Outdoor Recreation.
All are welcome to Join a Task Force and help the future of the town.
