The polling location is at Mendon Town Office and polling hours are 8:00a.m. to 7:00p.m
The Town Office will close at 12:00 pm the day before any election. 

Town Meeting Day: 1st Tuesday in March every year; vote for town officials and articles. Town meeting starts at 6:00p.m on the last Monday before the first Tuesday in March, polling hours are 8:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. at the town office on Tuesday. Presidential Primary: 1st Tuesday in March every four years; vote for party nominations for United States president. Coincides with town meeting election. (Next one is March 2028)

State Primary: Even numbered years in August; vote for party nominations for Vermont state offices. (Next one is August 2024)

State General: 1st Tuesday after the 1st Monday in November in even numbered years; vote for Vermont state offices and local justices of the peace.  (Next one is November 8, 2024) All registered voters will be receiving a ballot from the State around the end of September 2024.

Federal General: 1st Tuesday after the first Monday in November every four years; vote for United States president/vice-president. Coincides with State General. (Next one is November 2024)

Registered voters in Mendon may participate at town meeting and vote at polling location for all elections. To register to vote in Vermont, you must be a citizen of the United States, a resident of Vermont, and 18 years or older on or before the next election. To register to vote your principal dwelling place must be in Mendon.

Absentee voting is available for every election as soon as the ballots are ready, approximately 30 days prior to the election. You (or a qualified individual on your behalf) must first request an absentee ballot by mail, by phone or in person.  The deadline to request an absentee ballot for any particular election is the day before by 5:00 p.m. Download an Vermont Absentee Ballot Request Form
